History:
Garry woke up early one morning to go to see the Guertena exhibit...why not? Garry loved art. Galleries were boring but, hey, maybe he could find some inspiration?

Yep, boring. Garry was about to leave but then he got locked in? And all the guests were gone? This was weird, what was going on? Garry went to try to find someone when...

He landed himself in an alternate gallery called, "The Fabricated World". Which was filled with live incantations of Guertena's works. Scared and lost, Garry found a blue rose. How real looking and pretty. He was attacked by "The Lady in Blue" (which in the gallery, the real one, you'd see the Lady In Red obviously not "animated"). His rose got taken and the monster started ripping the petals. The roses in this place represented the spirit. If all the petals were gone, you were as good as dead. With every petal ripped, Garry grew more injured. He was trying to get it back (he even got a key) when the pain was too great from the wounds that appeared as every petal was ripped. He collapsed.

This is where the main character, a young girl named Ib, finds him lying there. In the same exact situation. Except she was so much younger. She finds his rose with his key, and heals it by using the vases filled with water (the health restoration in the game). She returns it, and Garry's wounds left. Garry and Ib introduced and Garry vowed to protect her with his life basically. They were getting out of there, he was gonna make sure of it.

After many bouts of fear (more on Garry's expressive end), bonding, and puzzles; they ended up running in a long hallway. Garry was growing more concerned for Ib since the gallery got to Ib by showing a portrait of her parents who she was separated from. But Garry turned away one second and then Ib collapsed on the floor. Oh no! He wrapped her up in his coat, picked her up, and made a run for it. The monsters can't open doors, so he finds a safe empty room for them to rest. He set Ib down gently. He let her rest.

Ib awoke, and then a concerned Garry asked how she was. He felt so bad...keeping his eyes off her. She had a nightmare, the poor thing seeing such frightful sights, so Garry kindly offered the candy in his pocket. Idle chit chat happened and they were getting even closer as friends.

When Ib was feeling better, they left. After some more bonding and finding books children shouldn't read since it was about SEX, they run into someone else! A little blonde girl, maybe around Ib's age? Her name was Mary. And she had a yellow rose. Garry and Ib invited her in the group. They reach a room that was filled with hideous dolls. It repulsed Garry but Mary and Ib thought they were cute?? Ib saw bunnies in this room, proving Garry saw reality and Ib was hallucinating. They were about to leave when they got separated by vines from a painting outside. The were forced to go their separate ways to find a way to get back together again. After taking too long as Ib and Mary went to a different room, a worried Garry was forced to return to the only room HE could go to. THAT room. The dolls. They were watching, he was sure of it. He found a secret passage and tried find his way when he learned that Mary was a liar and she was a painting too here.

Garry grew worried for Ib.

He rushed to find a way out when he got himself in another doll room, as he was trying to find balls of paint (they were doing conjoined puzzles, switching player characters back and forth solving them simultaneously). These things have been following him the whole while, trying to have him stay and play with them. He was really hating these dolls, they were freaking him out. The lock him in the room, and Garry frantically finds the key and escapes before the dolls tried to make them their permanent guest. He runs up the stairs to find that Mary had Ib cornered. After a struggle, he managed to knock her down unconscious. He felt bad about it but Mary was obviously dangerous, and her rose was even fake.

They ran further down into a sketchbook world, it looked like it was drawn in cryaon. Everything looked like a child's drawing. Ib was growing worried, so Garry (in an attempt to cheer her up) makes more small talk. He promised her that when they left, Garry was going to treat her to macaroons. Because they WILL make it out. He promised it. When they reached a "toy box", they were pushing into it by Mary. They woke up and were in a large room filled with toys and crayon drawings. Ib was separated from her rose, he could tell when Ib woke him up from the fall. She was pale. They manage to find it, but there was only one petal left. Garry shielded her from the animated monsters in the room as they made their way out.

They find a room shielded with vines. Garry's lighter, which had proven useful numerous times in the past, was used here too to rid of the vines. The group was curious, they had to see what was behind here. They saw a ripped painting surrounded be yellow roses. Toys were there in the room too. This was Mary's painting. This was Mary's room. Suddenly Mary enters and yells at them, trying to make them to leave by force. And by force, I mean kill them with her palette knife. They made a break for the back as Mary chased them. They only has seconds, or else they would die. Garry was not going to let her get to Ib. Never.

...

They burned Mary's painting with Garry's lighter to save themselves and they watched her burn in ashes with a pained look on her face.

Afterwords, Garry found a book titled "How to Make Friends" around Mary's things.

...Mary.

He looked at his hand, it was bleeding from the glass that shattered from the painting when they burned it. Suddenly, Ib took out her handkerchief and gave it to Garry. Lace? He would surely soil it...but Ib was insistent. He was hurt afterall, and he protected her loads of times.

Garry couldn't refuse it, his heart was warmed as he took her handkerchief. They traveled to what looked like a dark version of the normal gallery. They reached a painting similar to the Fabricated World painting in the gallery only the imagery looked just like the normal gallery! Childish looking BUT. Garry took no chances, he jumped in and waited for Ib so he could pull her up. After a trust battle to which the gallery tried to fool Ib with a fake version of her mother, she took his hand. THEY DID IT!

In a flash of light Garry found himself back. What was he doing? He didn't remember, huh. Suddenly a little lady came to him as he looked at the rose statue. The statue made him feel...odd. She asked him what he was doing. Had he...seen this girl before? Brunette, red eyes. "Ib." That name just came out of nowhere. He turned to leave but then something was in his pocket...a soiled lace handkerchief with the name "Ib" on it.

He remembered.

After a tearful reunion, Garry had to leave. Oh but there was so much to talk about.

Garry told her they will see each other again. He will clean the soiled handkerchief and he will return.

He won't forget the promise he made to his new friend.

Appearance: Garry is standing at 6'3" and at 150lbs. Skinny boy. His hair is naturally purple, but a dye accident at a salon gave him his black strands, which is basically permanently damaged hair (cut it, it grows back that way...so weird). He wears very simple clothes, but he loves his long dark navy-blue designed-to-be-torn coat (which is old anyway). His eyes are a very dark hue of blue.

Personality:

Upon knowing him, it won't take anyone long to see that Garry is an effeminate man. He has a refined speech, educated way about him, and an expansive vocabulary. He is very gentle in appearance and his manners. He grew into that, and he didn't care what anyone thought. He indeed talks like a lady. And well...he also has an intense love for the arts and fashion design (quite talented at both; but his main skill is in painting; though he loves to draw and plan out clothes). Next to that, he is sweet. The SWEETEST man. He will be there to lift your spirits, make you feel good about yourself and feel good about life and everything. Especially when the going is tough and things look bleak. He will do his best to smile for you if it makes that frown go upside down. A fan of the small talk method too to easy up any mood. He is basically a brother figure of sorts. He is a very thoughtful and selfless man, he always puts others in front of himself.

Despite his cool and gentle nature though, he does get scared easily. He can easily be made to jump and get freaked out. So yeah, that calm cool blue attitude can indeed leave him. When that happens, he can frustrated, angry, and sometimes even have bouts of immaturity. So it depends really whether or not he handles a situation okay. But more often than not, he gets his act together. Especially when someone needs him to be there and help.

Garry is mostly a social butterfly, but he hates over excitement. He likes things calm and nice. He likes art, he likes books, he likes a soft enriching atmosphere most of the time (maybe with some coffee or tea, yes?). He tries to avoid conflict and stressful things. Unless if obviously forced. He's not the denial kind of guy when that happens. You just won't see him play extreme sports or crazy things manly men do.

Lastly, Garry is kinda..."mom-ish". Meaning he has that love and compassion for people, but he is prone to nagging. Especially to children (NO READING ABOUT SEX UNTIL YOU'RE OLDER YOUNG LADY HRRMPH). He wants to be the responsible one after all, and look out for people. Giving any guidance he could, and all that. He IS an adult afterall.

Abilites: HE HAS...NONE! He is as normal as a human you can get.
Other:

[MOSTLY HEADCANON STUFF BUT...]

- Garry is non athletic. But to make up for it, he is distinctly talented at the arts. Especially painting. Oh my god, painting. He was in college for the fine arts until he came here. Minor in fashion design.

- Garry is a good cook too. He loves to do so, even. Especially baking.

- Doesn't like dolls. Well okay. Just those dolls that Mary carry around.

- Since he is from the best ending, he loves Ib as a little sister/best friend. Mary...he was forced to kill her, and has eternal guilt. Just wait until the universes get mixed up.

- Garry's real family are loving and wonderful, middle classed artistic folk. His dad was a business man who loved music (Garry was given an acoustic guitar for his 20th birthday, he can play small songs on it but not much else), the mother was the fashion nut who was happy to be able to talk about it to her son, and her grandfather was his painting inspiration (he got his skills from him, he was taught). He loves them very much but he shares a strong kinship with his grandfather because of his intense love for painting. As such, he gets sappy when talking about him. He gave Garry his trusty lighter, which is old and low on oil (an object he had on him in the actual game).

- That lighter is used. Garry is a smoker. But he is trying to slowly quit. He can't help the urge sometimes though so, yeah. But he doesn't like to smoke when surrounded by people. He has courtesy. No one should be exposed to second hand...especially children. So for the most part, he tries to calm his habitual nerves with lemon hard candy (also what he carried in the game, and he also has one or more pieces on hand).

- Garry's taste in food is odd. He generally loves "SWEETER" things. But not so sweet and/or coated in sugar or preservatives, that stuff is gross. That and overly rich sweets. He hates fried, oily food and can take only very little spice. He actually also doesn't eat much meat (white meat is usually good and okay), but he loves fish and other seafood. He is an avid tea and coffee lover and often loves to have whatever is seasonal. In alcohol, he loves wine and fru-fru drinks (like the Bloody Mary).

- After the gallery, he is a bit sensitive to the subject. On galleries. He would stray from visiting them for a bit. He also hates horror movies.

First Person:

...Hmm?

My this. This certainly is a change of scenery. Surely I'm dreaming, I wasn't here before.

Ah but...This is really a dream though, right?

There's no point in freaking out, is there? This place looks rather...normal, actually. Not really all that scary. Kind of quaint and peaceful.

Hmmm, perhaps I need a bit of clarification before I even begin to panic.

[He is trying VERY hard not to panic, as you can see.]

Would anyone like to tell me what this place is?

Third Person: A whole thread from my musebox. If you need more samples, I can provide them!
